Starting Over

I do not know what title to give this post. It is so long since I have blogged it maybe that no one will even read it! I have just re set my blog so that anyone can read it. The reason for this is that we are starting a new era of our life as a family- we are beginning the exciting journey of taking full responsibility for our boys education in the home. So maybe, just maybe, I might be able to post things that will be helpful to others....who knows!! I did start to tinker with a re-design a while ago but that didn't get very far....one day......... :)

Rather inconveniently, our home ed journey is beginning at the same time as our downstairs re-fit work which will last 4-5 weeks- but there you go! It may actually help relieve the 'starting out' pressure, although due to the wonderful advice of several friends I am prepared not to try and do too much/achieve great things right away! But by having to be out of the house in the day and moving around a lot more for a bit we can really just take things as they come at a pace that suits us.

So that is the main news around here. I will post about why we have made this decision at some point- it is the kind of post that needs thought and prayer before becoming public. In other news, things meander along as usual. The Samiad just turned 18 months...which means it is 6 months since I last blogged. The mooky moo is almost 4 and dan doodle is fast approaching 7!!!!! David's work at the hopsital has been fraught with difficulty for about 6 months now and we are currently getting by on only 23 contracted hours a week, having to make up the rest (or not!) with extras. Not an ideal situation and rather complicated story as to how it happened. But the Lord knows the story and He knows our need and so we (try) to go faithfully on , thankful that He knows our weakness and yet loves us and cares for us.

Once all the chaos is over I am very much looking forward to my new kitchen with a BIG oven :) We had hoped to extend but that is on the back burner for now. Also I am very excited about the pending addition of not one by two new babies (DV) to the family in early 2012....not twins, just my 2 dear sisters expecting babies #3 and #1 repsectively a month apart :)

Here are my two eldest boys- I love this picture- It was taken on the little train ride at Paignton Zoo (top tip, if you go there book on line so you can skip the queues to get in....they are looooong!)

The boys and daddy in the desert house at the zoo- Matthew did not want his picture taken!

In July I performed my office as 'registered person' at a wedding for the first time. Thankfully it all went smoothly- have another one to do in December so at least I will know what I am doing this time :) :) :) may need a warmer outfit though ........(any excuse!)
