This time I chose to review a children's book- and I am really looking forward to sharing this one with my boys as they grow up. 'Jungle' Jack Hanna is the presenter of the Emmy-winning 'Jack Hanna's Into The Wild'.
In this book he brings us 30 of the 'most interesting animals in the world'. Have you ever heard of the blue-footed booby? I certainly hadn't until I picked up this book!
Each animal has a single page spread, with pictures on one side, information on the other, and little bullet point facts such as 'what they eat', 'where they live', and how big they get'.
The pictures and colours are eye catching and the book is great for dipping in and out of for children and adults too - especially those of you who do children's talks!
But best of all this book is written by a man seeking to show the wonder of God's creation. No creeping through the pages waiting for the inevitable 'evolution/millions of years' thing. It simply is not here.
This particular book comes complete with a 'blunders, bloopers and behind the scenes' DVD, so those of us who are not familiar with Mr Hanna get the chance to see him in action, and those who do know him get to see him in his not so award winning moments!
